Imagine summer camp but in the wilds of coastal Nicaragua – and we are not just talking about craft time and bonfires (although we do that, too!) - at Casa Verde you will have the opportunity to participate in experiential service-learning programs focused on global citizenship and sustainable living. Well, what’s that mean?

Spend weeks or even months with us speaking Spanish, planting trees, digital storytelling, building with mud, eating mangoes and watermelon, playing soccer in the sun, and making real friends that will last a lifetime. That’s what we call a ”progressive educational institute”.

We are motivated by the belief that education is the foundation for true innovation and social change. Here, you will have the opportunity to tap your full global potential, and prepare yourself to make a mark on the world.

We are located in the Central American country of Nicaragua, in a little village called El Limon. Our U.S. headquarters are in Portland, Oregon and our volunteers and staff live all over the world!
